Lindy originally trained as a journalist and documentary producer, and has worked in and around the print and broadcast media in Australia and California for 25 years. Lindy holds a Bachelor of Arts/Social Sciences (Media) degree with specializations in television and radio production, and a Post- Graduate Degree in Arts, (Publishing and Editing).
Her Australian broadcasting experience includes producing a number of award-winning current affairs programs and documentaries. She also produced, directed and hosted an eight part, youth music show for an Australian cable network. Amongst her awards, is the prestigious United Nations Media Peace Award and the National Youth Media Award. Lindy’s combined background in journalism, research, and psychotherapy bring a unique focus to all her programs.
For the last two years Lindy has conceptualized then acted as executive producer/showrunner on a 1-hour, docu-series. This heartfelt, 6 episode series provides an intimate window into the world of wounded veterans and the profound transformation that occurs when they’re given a service dog. This life-affirming docu-series includes the highly compelling dimension of female prison inmates who spend two years training the dogs for the veterans. It is ultimately a story of redemption and the healing power of unconditional love.
